TALK IS CHEAP – SMOKIN’ IVORIES
"This song starts off and grabs your attention right away with the declaration "You stood me up again" it builds quickly right from the start, packed with emotional appeal and truly reflects the old adage "Music is What Feelings Sound Like". The lyrics aptly capture a situation most people can relate to on some level. This is simple, powerful song delivered with honesty and passion that one could easily envision being part of a movie soundtrack. This would be an excellent radio friendly single release. Radio ready, It is the perfect length for the AC radio demographic. The vocals are sincere and on point, at times reminiscent of early Bruce Springsteen in tone and timbre and the late Joe Cocker in terms of intensity and the raw passionate conveyance of feeling. I look forward to hearing more from this artist, my bet is that this is an intensely personal original song because it is so well delivered. Definitely an artist to watch! - Greg Beasley"
